with three core strategies.

Building Grassroots Power

Sharing accurate, understandable information on drinking water issues and ensuring impacted residents have a voice in water decision-making.

Communications

Informing decision makers and the public about unsafe drinking water problems and solutions.

Advocacy

Advancing policy and funding solutions, engaging voters, and expanding coalitions with the most impacted residents shaping priorities.

  • Drinking Water Advocacy Guide

Many communities continue to face water challenges and CWC does not have capacity to work with every community directly. The Guide will impart the resources, tools, stories, and inspiration organizers can use to pursue systemic change for their local water system.

  • Unregulated Contaminants

chrome 6 and PFAS — currently have no enforceable legal limits, which means they are not required to be addressed if found in drinking water.

  • Water Affordability

Safe drinking water should be affordable for all. But 1.6 million California households are drowning in water debt.

  • Bottled Water Programs

Bottled water delivery programs are available for those without access to safe drinking water.

  • Well Testing

CWC connects eligible households to well testing programs to learn about their water quality and provides information on how to receive replacement sources of drinking water.
